Good Fortune x Asahi Nagata
Omatsuri, the joyful summer festivals held across Japan—vibrant events filled with food stalls, lanterns, and goldfish scooping that are a cherished part of Nagata's childhood. Creating this illustration was especially meaningful for her. As a parent, she dreams of sharing this beloved aspect of Japanese culture with her daughters, hoping they will one day feel the same wonder she did as a child—walking through a summer festival surrounded by laughter, glowing lights, and the scent of sweet festival treats. This piece offers a small window into that world: a celebration of tradition, imagination, and the connections that span generations.
Great for: Family fun and cozy rainy days. Perfect for a bedroom, play space or office.
